Vacation, Ryan Adams Concert, Great BBQ..

So I have been running ragged the past two weeks and it is starting to catch up to me.. I am just exhausted and cant seem to get any rest.. S0 let me tell you a lil about why. 3 weeks ago the lovely lil lady and myself took our first extensive road trip and vacation together. We went to this beautiful non-comercial lil slice of heaven known as Santa Rosa Beach Fl. Now I know folks always make fun and think thats the state you go to die, but let me tell you friend this is wear I want to live! This lil place is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.. Now granted this is also the first time I have been on a beach that was not Galveston! Oh and did I mentioned this is the first time I have ever been on vacation? Well it was and let me tell you sign me up for more of those! We got to stay there for about 3 days and 4 nights. Most of which was spent sitting on the beach or eating.. The trip home was a lil long seeing has we drove and 12 hrs in the car can be a lil rough and was already dreading work the next morning. Not that I dislike my job but its hard to beat sitting on a beautiful beach with a cold beer! So anyway got back to reality and in the swing of things then it was time to head to Houston for the Ryan Adams show. Now if you know me you know I am a bit obsessed with R.A and was pretty excited about going to this show but not so much excited about the drive. Its not a super long or bad drive by any means but the show was on a tue night and we had work te next day! So rolling in at 3 am and sleeping like 4 hrs just doesent work well for me anymore since I am reaching my twilight years.. All in all the show was ok.. Last years show at the same venue was far better but this one was ok. Gotta say not a big fan of the new single "Fix It" hoping there is some better stuff on the record!
So with all of that then the day to day and bachelor parties and what not I am beat! I hope the next few weeks I can take it easy and get back to my persuit of qualifying for the PGA tour. Oh and I almost forgot! I had some great BBQ for lunch today.. The place is call Chief's BBQ its is located in South Austin on S.1st and Dittmar. Its a lil hole in the wall but I had a great chopped beef and sausage sandwich! Really good! Check it out for yourself! Well until next time.. Music Janitor -Out!
